This major international law firm has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate to join their busy and thriving Commercial IP & IT practice in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Their well-established and highly rated UAE team act for an impressive range of major clients, including sovereign wealth funds, tech (including AI) focused organisations, sponsors of the leading regional giga projects, communications business, and financial institutions, and advise on a broad range of complex commercial contracts, particularly for IP, technology and data rich deals. This includes advising on digital transformation, digital infrastructure, licensing and collaboration matters, as well as on all aspects of compliance with data protection, privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulation. The team are accordingly seeking someone with a solid knowledge and experience of commercial contracts (to include negotiating, drafting, analysing etc.) which may include service agreements, software licence agreements, supply, manufacturing and distribution agreements, technology licences, franchising, R&D agreements, and collaboration agreements. Experience in the areas of IP transactions, M&A support, telecoms transactions, data/privacy/cyber issues, and outsourcing would also be welcomed. Within an established and thriving practice, you'll play a key role in developing ongoing relationships with an existing client base, while also be actively involved in identifying and pitching for new opportunities. This is a dynamic team where you'll have every opportunity to truly excel and make your mark. You'll can expect early stage responsibility in a supportive and collaborative environment, working across a range of areas for the firm's high-end client base and often closely with their other international offices, whilst also supporting the development of more junior team members.
