This major local UAE law firm have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Arbitration lawyer to join them in a Senior Associate capacity within their busy and thriving Disputes practice in Dubai. The position will entail handling a variety of high-level UAE and regional Arbitration Disputes cases, with a particular emphasis on big-ticket and high-value Construction, Engineering and Energy matters, and extending also into broad-ranging regional Commercial Arbitration cases. Their active client roster includes an impressive list of major international contractors and subcontractors, UAE and regional hotel developers, design and engineering partners, and major land owners and developers. To succeed in the role, applicants will need to have notable experience of acting in large-scale and high-value Construction and Engineering Disputes matters, ideally gained within the UAE or wider Gulf region market, and extending to advice under various institutional rules (e.g. the DIAC, ICC, LCIA, SCCA, and before the DIFC Courts). You'll also need to have a practical commercial approach (with a track record in taking responsibility for and managing matters), along with strong drafting, analytical and communication skills, and enjoy being part of a friendly and outgoing firm and team. In terms of language skills, English fluency will be needed, with Arabic fluency beneficial although not prerequisite for the position.
